About Us
Your hosts
Double Hill Station is one of the original Canterbury runs taken up by the early settlers in 1858. The property has been owned and farmed by our family since 1916. Tim and Anna are the fourth generation to farm Double Hill which is a traditional sheep and cattle station running 10,000 sheep and 1000 cattle.
The station is 7500 acres and has some of the most outstanding mountain scenery in New Zealand. Come and be a part of this beautiful environment and let us share our lifestyle and fascinating history with you.
Our helicopter
Our Eurocopter AS350 BA Super D, with corporate interior styling including leather seats, can accommodate six passengers in comfort. Views are excellent and the in-flight sound system means you can communicate with Tim, your pilot/guide, and clearly hear his informative commentary.
Your advantage
We are in the very heart of the Southern Alps, so your heli-flights with us are a scenic extravaganza from the moment you lift off and therefore flight time and cost is not wasted being shuttled across less interesting terrain.
